If I install Windows XP on that message again and again;
"Setup could not be found any hard disks installed on your computer.
Make sure the disks are turned on and properly connected to the computer, and that any disk related hardware configuration is correct. This may mean running a manufacturer - supplied diagnostic or setup program.
Setup can not proceed. To quit, press F3 "
The BIOS says nothing about SATA, IDE only. A phased process would be.

I think you have a relatively old copy of XP.
The XP CD contains a driver for your SATA hard drive.
to do so:
1.Get controller for SATA hard disk from the Internet
2. Rationalization of these drivers for the XP CD (which you copied your original model and the XP driver, you must save to a CD again, just like Google, to streamline the driver for XP)
3. Use this new installation CD, you will be pleased to see the result.
Start .. press the button to get to the BIOS (F2 on my saying) .. Scroll down to the main unit .. You should change your main drive SATA .. (I know you said that the BIOS does not say anything about SATA but I make sure.) If you have no options in the BIOS and the motherboard has SATA and re-check all cables are properly connected. then I suggest you update the BIOS .. You need the latest version (maybe from a different computer), if you have a Dell then. www.support.dell.com
Click on Drivers & Downloads .. Enter your serial number .. Scroll through the BIOS .. Download the latest version .. (Make sure that the correct service number. Do not want to install Wrong BIOS)
